Homeless Families On The Streets of Atlanta – Help Us Change This Cycle!

atlanta homeless women family with children solomons temple foundationOver 10,000 people become homeless each year on the streets of Atlanta. No one thinks that they will become homeless, but it’s something that happens everyday. To seek shelter, homeless families are living in their cars, abandoned buildings, and the airport. Some mothers are ride Marta trains throughout the night just to keep their children safe.

Most people don’t realize that homelessness can happen to anyone. It can easily happen due to a job loss. This can cause a major financial strain just to pay the bills to stay afloat, and get back on track. Due to this, it has lead many families to become homeless in Atlanta.

Most times, homeless families are victims of domestic violence. Usually, they had to flee their home in order to stop the abuse from worsening. Other issues that also impact homeless families are depression and low self-esteem. That can result from hard times in their finances and relationships. These mental problems not only affect the mother, but the mental state of the children as well.

Our goal is to bring hope back to the families that stay at Solomon’s Temple. We accomplish this through our programs that help to build and transform lives. Programs that build in areas such as self-empowerment, financial literacy, parenting, employment readiness and other life skills. The aim is to support families toward a more stable and independent life.

We hope you will be moved to take part in helping us transform lives, by breaking the cycle of homelessness. If you are homeless and you need assistance, please contact us at 404-762-4872 or info@solomonstempleinc.org.
